Nest IOS app shows thermostat is offline even though thermostat is on

My Nest Thermostat seems online but NEST app on IOS shows that Nest Thermostat is offline. Phone restart did not work.

I've had a similar issue for the last few days. The thermostat is working but will not stay connected to the app. Have wasted hours on it. Very frustrating and never had this issue before in well over 3 years.

Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.

Give these steps a try:

1. Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it from the power for 2 minutes.
2. Reinstall your Nest app.
3. Restart your Nest Thermostat.
