Nest Jumper Wires

Trying to figure out this nest..I followed the app and connected everything minus the jumper wire that it seems I didn't need for some other posts..

It keeps telling me the wifi is disconnected and there isn't enough power to the device, however it is working manually..

The old state had two wires, W - RH and then an RH-RC jumper..but I only have heating and no AC/cooling.

Just looking for some assistance..I connected white to w and rh to r..worked for about ten minutes and now says not enough power or power system issue...did also try replacing the batteries

@Hollywood168

Are you sure you have a learning thermostat as neither the 3rd nor 4th Gen have replaceable batteries?

What type of heating do you have? Bolier, Furnace, or something else?

@Patrick_Caezza i think it's just the fourth Gen regular one..I have a furnace; received the thermostat through the gas and electric company for free

The only one with replaceable batteries is the Google Nest Thermostat (2020) which has a mirrored display.

The thermostat (2020) requires a C wire for heat-only applications. You can use a spare thermostat wire or the Google Nest Power Connector depending on your furnace.

Thats nice to know that my gas and electric company sends new outdated **bleep**...but I fixed this by getting a power adapter and connected it to the C wire; thanks
