Hello,
We had the nest learning 3rd generation thermostat installed one year ago. It has recently shown that it has low batter and cannot connect to WiFi. We have gone through all recommended restarting and resetting steps including charging the nest thermostat via charger. Nothing is working. The thermostat still allows us to control heat and air conditioning but it doesn't always turn on when we turn the wheel and it won't connect to WiFi because of the low battery issue.
Any other recommendations?

Same here. What a piece of junk. This is my second warranty replacement in 9 months, this one just a month ago. The first two replacements
were for the infamous W5 error (known defect in their WiFi chips). Now this one suddenly lost the WiFi connection again and won’t charge. Even for 6 hours on USB it’s just flashing white, never steady. Plug it back in anyway and lo and behold, no charging. It shows the common wire attached (which it was before, no problems there).
This is junk. It’s hot and humid as heck in the house and this is the last Google Nest thermostat I will buy. After 6 of them in three houses that worked fine. They have screwed it up in the last year and won’t admit it.

Ours still isn't connecting to wifi and can see the issue may be with the device itself. Looks like we are going to have to replace it.
Any recommendations for any other thermostat brands that last longer than a year and also connect to WiFi in Ontario?
