Nest Learning Thermostat Compatibility

Hello all, we had a nest learning thermostat for awhile but had to get a new AC/heat unit as ours went out. Peaden installed the Rheem Endeavor Line Classic Plus Series 4 ton 15.2 SEER2 2-Stage iM Heat Pump-208/230/1/60 (model number RP15AZ48AJ2NA). The technicians stated the nest learning thermostat is incompatible with the new system and I'm hoping y'all can help verify if that's the case. Here's a picture of the current Honeywell wiring. I'll get a clearer picture for the right side wires in the morning if they aren't legible in the first picture. Thank you for the help.

Pic looks legit. Air handler & condenser pics would help verify!

I'm not familiar with HVAC so hopefully these pictures are the ones you wanted. https://imgur.com/a/XTSk7TI

Sorry need the pics of the connection points on that brown thermostat wires. You need to take access covers off to find out what’s connected where. Make sure power is turned off to equipment before hand. Good luck.

Wires are set up as 2 stages cooling & heat

Red wire to R-Rc or Rh on nest

blue wire to C

Orange to O/B

yellow to Y or Y1

green To G

White to W2-aux

black to Y2

Set up system as heat pump choose O on nest o/b Option for now

test the system if you’re getting warm air when asking to cool OR cool air when asking for heat go back & make switch to B in nest o/b settings. Good luck.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. I'd like to take a closer look at it. We need to have a photo of the wires that are connected to your system's control board. It will help us to ensure the correct wiring configuration of your system.

Also, you can try the steps that are suggested above.

You can visit this support article for more information.

I appreciate the help, @HVAC.

Best,

Jenelyn
