the app I originally used to remotely access my Nest Learning thermostat is on an obsolete mobile device. I have tried to connect the app on my new device but am unable to retrieve the entry key as the thermostat thinks it is still connected to a device. I have restarted the thermostat but this has not resolved the issue. How do I rectify this please?

Do you have access to the old device or the account where the thermostat was added?

I dont have access to the phone but the account is still mine.

Do an account connection reset from the thermostat itself. Settings>reset>account connection then try adding it again, if it doesn't work. You'll have to create a new account. :<

I needed to do a full reset but my phone is now connected to the thermostat.
