Hi,
I'd like to set my Nest Mirror to a fixed temperature (either Heat or Cool, don't need both at once), and have it keep those settings until I change them. The current reason is for going on vacation, maybe other reasons will surface. This could be something like holding the Eco settings until I re-enable my regular schedule. Seems hard to do this with the mirror Nest...
I've found the Nest Mirror Presence Sensing to be 'very responsive', flipping back and forth between Home and Away even when I'm still home, and have found it unreliable or unmanagable.
I've found the Hold feature, but it appears to only work for a maximum of 23 hours. I'd rather not have to fiddle with my thermostat each day on my phone while traveling.
I've seen other notes talking about disabling schedules, don't see how to do that. Would rather not have to re-create all my schedules or change them for each vacation. One note suggests setting the mode to Heat+Cool (automatic), and then if there is no schedule for that mode the settings will hold indefinitely. I don't see how to set that mode on the Nest Mirror (it appears to support Heat only, Cool only, Fan only, or Hold (up to 23 hours).
How can I set a single desired temperature to activate either Heat or Cool, and hold that setting indefinitely?
Thanks!

It sounds as though you have Nest Thermostat (setup with the Google Home app). This the feature you're looking for:

Thank you davidking! The magic is in being able to choose 'None' for hold end time with the Eco setting...

Hey DT_NestReset,
It looks like davidking was able to help you get this sorted out. Before I go ahead and mark this as resolved, I wanted to check in and see if you were all set or to see if there was anything else you might need. If there's more we can do, just let us know.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for letting us know, DT_NestReset.
Hey, everyone. As we got our resolution here, I'll be closing up the thread in the next 24 hours. If you have anything more to add, please do so before the lock.
Thanks,
Jeff
