I have a Google Nest Smart Learning thermostat that i set-up via the google home app. When I try to add to the Nest app it instructs me my product must be set-up on the Google home app. I purchased Nest temperature sensors but these need to be set-up with the nest app. There seems to be a disconnect that doesn't make sense. Why is my Nest not able to be set-up on the Nest app so I can connect thermostats?

The Google Nest Thermostat is the only thermostat the Google Home App can set up. The Nest Learning thermostat can only be set up using the Nest App.
If you set up your thermostat using the Google Home app, you have the Google Nest Thermostat, which has a mirrored finish. The Nest Temperature Sensors are not compatible with this Nest thermostat

Hi everyone,
@mostiguy17, it's us again. How's it going? The Nest Temperature Sensor is only compatible with the Google Nest Thermostat E and Google Nest Learning Thermostat. You need to use the Nest app to connect your sensor to your Nest Thermostat and change its settings. If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to let me know.
I appreciate the help, Patrick_Caezza and Archie.
Best,
Emerson
