Nest Temperature sensor (all 3) offline notification

richardx

Been using the setup for a year without any issue. Few days ago, Nest app notification started to go off through out the day warning about temperature sensor offline (all 3, ding, ding, ding!).

What I tried so far

- Restarted main thermostat

- Checked battery level of all 3 sensors (all fine)

- Checked Wifi connection (connecting to Google Wifi and fine)

- Checked power source of thermostat (C connection and fine)

- Brought sensors within a few feet from the thermostat ( no difference)

- Tested connectivity between sensors and thermostat (all 3 fine)

Only remaining thing that I haven't tried is the full factory reset.

Help!!!

Hi richardx,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Ensure that your Nest Thermostat has fine power readings by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power. Your thermostat should at least have 3.7 V above battery level.

Give these steps a whirl:

  1. Remove your thermostat from the Nest app together with your Nest Temperature Sensor.
  2. Reinstall your Nest app.
  3. Perform Account Connection Reset.
    1. Go to your thermostat's Quick View menu.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Look for Reset.
    4. Select Account Connection.
  4. After reset, connect your thermostat to your Wi-Fi Network.
    1. Go to your thermostat's Quick View menu.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Look for the Network.
  5. Go to the Nest app and add your thermostat.
  6. Reconnect your Nest Temperature Sensor.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn
