Nest Therm E has a blank screen and a flashing green light

Our Thermostat was installed 2 years ago by a pro when our home was built. Just 2 days ago the Thermostat went blank on the screen and a green flashing light came on. I've tried to hold down to reset but the only thing that happens is the green light turns to red for a second. I removed the thermostat from the wall and tried charging, but that has not worked either. Any solutions?

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: in what country are you located? How long did you charge your Nest Thermostat? Does the blinking light stay green after it turns to red for a second? Please check if there's any bent or missing in the 20 pins at the back of your thermostat display.
