Nest Thermo Learning not working correctly!

good evening!!

in looking at my wiring it appears I have wires that are not accurate. Attached are pictures of my old and current set up. 

Can someone please assist?

Move the red wire to the Rc plug and try again to go thru set up.

Nest should work with this system it uses standard wiring.

The pics are too small.

What kind of system do you have?

Is this a heat pump with AC sytem?

I cannot see the wire terminals clearly on the right side of the old t-stat and cannot see the Nest screen either.

it is a heat pump and ac unit by carrier. It’s only 2 years old but old house.
