We set it at 68, but it keeps trying to use 67 instead. I'm guessing it is programming to do that to claim savings. We. feel cold / chilled at 67 when sitting and watching TV, etc. The Nest Thermostat is in the SAME ROOM. How do we stop the Nest Thermostat from changing to a lower temperature daily? Yesterday we got an email "December Home Report from nest.com: "Since October 2011, our thermostat customers have saved .......... kWh of energy.*.
*Energy savings are an estimate, not a guarantee that you will save energy. |
P.S. In the winter time most of the heating (/ cooling?) if from heating with natural gas.
How much of the saving is from the nest changing temperature to a 'more energy efficient temperature', then using some 'number(s)' to calculate / estimate 'inflated savings'.
