I have a Nest Thermostat that I'd like to install in our new home. It is not high-voltage, but after going through the installation protocol, the app said my system wasn't compatible. Help?
@Patrick_Caezza, I saw some replies from you on this topic, so I'm tagging for help 🙂
It won't let me upload an image, but here's the wires that are connected into the system:
E, AUX, Y, G, O, R, B, C (C optional with batteries)

Hi smantharae,
Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate your trust in seeking assistance. I understand your concern with the Nest Thermostat installation, and I'm more than happy to help you troubleshoot.
Firstly, based on the wires you've listed (E, AUX, Y, G, O, R, B, C), it seems like you might have a heat pump system with multiple wires. The message you received might be due to a compatibility issue or a configuration misunderstanding.
Let's try to troubleshoot this step-by-step. Ensure that the wires are correctly connected to the corresponding terminals on the Nest Thermostat. Double-check the compatibility of your system with the Nest Thermostat model you have. If the issue persists, you might want to provide more details about your HVAC system, such as the make and model, so we can better assist you. Also, here's how to insert an image in a post:
Feel free to share any additional information or details, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions along the way!
Best regards,
Mark
