Nest Thermostat App won’t send change password email

Emma8

I have tried several times to have an email sent via the Nest App to re-set my password. I have triple checked the email, I have checked spam, junk, promotions folder and have enough space in my inbox for it to come through. I have deleted the app and re-installed. Nothing is working. I need to change the schedule on my Nest thermostat and cannot do it without the app.

I have tried calling and nobody answers.

Hi Emma8,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We hear you and we want to help you with this.

Give these steps a try:

  • If your mail service uses one, add @Nest.com to your allowlist. The steps on how to do this step vary based on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Try reaching out with your ISP for help with the process.
    • Some email domains may have an anti-spam feature that could block legitimate emails from Nest inadvertently. If you add account@nest.com to your allowlist, you should receive the verification email.
    • Known domains which block Nest emails at the server level: @btinternet.com and @comcast.com.
  • If you still can't receive emails after you add account@nest.com to your allowlist, contact your ISP or email provider.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson
