Nest Thermostat, Cool and Heat settings both turn Heat on

So this is the 3rd Thermostat I'm installing in my house (other two floors working perfectly).  This one is going in the basement and has an extra wire and can't seem to figure out how to connect everything.  I thought I did it correctly but when I turned the Nest thermostat on Cool, it turned the heat on AND when I set it Heat, it also turns the heat on.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Blue Wire = C
Green Wire = G

Yellow Wire = Y

Orange Wire = W

Red Wire = R

To have a better visual, could you share with us a photo of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring? Tell us the make and model of your HVAC system. Also, verify that your HVAC system is compatible with the Nest Thermostat. You may want to check the Nest Thermostat compatibility guide. If the issue persists, you might want to try resetting the Nest Thermostat and reconfiguring it from scratch. This can sometimes resolve any configuration issues.

Remember to turn off the power to your HVAC system before making any adjustments to the wiring. Safety first! If you're still having issues, let us know.
