Help! I installed a Nest thermostat for my A/C only thermostat but it's only showing a heating option and won't register with the A/C unit to blow out cool air. My wiring at the thermostat is a white, green, and red wire. Based on the installation through the Nest app, I had to install a power connector so I did that, but at my A/C control panel, there were only Y1, G, R wires. Is this a wiring issue? I tried wiring the white wire to both Y (to match the control panel) and W to match the wiring, but both configurations won't register cool air.
Tried wiring the white cable to Y (to match the control panel) and W to match the wiring but both won't register cool air

@shoyu2015 , When you installed the Nest Power adapter, you should have disconnected the white wire from the furnace/air handler control board and connected it to the Y*W wire of the Nest Power Adapter then disconnect the Red wire from the air handler and connect to the R wire of the Nest Power adapter. Then the take the group of three wires and attach the R to the control board R, the Y*W to the Y1 on the control board and the C to to the C on the control board. Did you remember to download a software update for your Nest Thermostat? Your thermostat needs to latest software in order to be able to recognize and use the Nest Power Adapter.
