Nest Thermostat Offline in app

I have a Nest E thermostat installed upstairs.  The app says it’s offline but when I check the thermostat it says it’s connected to my wifi and everything else works as usual. Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Google Nest Community. Let's check on it further. 

A few questions — were there updates or changes made to your phone before you noticed that your Nest thermostat is offline? Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the Nest app? Also, have you tried logging into another mobile device or a computer's browser via https://bit.ly/3gW4i8w if you get the same message?
