Nest Thermostat did not turn on at scheduled time

Has anyone else had this happen? I overslept this morning and after a short while I wondered why it was so cold in my house. I checked on my Nest Thermostat webpage on my computer (I'm disabled so find this easier than via the actual Thermostat unit) and discovered that the Thermostat was off and it was quite a way past the scheduled time that it should have come on. So of course I turned it on and it is now heating my house. Yesterday I got the notification via the Nest App on my phone about seasonal savings which I told it to not do so I think that this should have not changed the schedule.

Hi owenmahamilton,

Seasonal Savings is an energy savings program that’s available on your Google Nest thermostat in winter and summer. It’s like a personal energy assistant that looks for ways to lower your bills, quietly works behind the scenes, and helps you stay comfortable too.

You’re always in control. If you don’t want to use Seasonal Savings, you can turn it off at any time. Check this guide to do that.

Best,

Mel
