Nest Thermostat is disconnected

Our Nest Thermostat has worked perfectly until we purchased a new router.  Now, we cannot connect to new Wi-Fi. We removed the device as online instructions said but we cannot reconnect to the app or add the Wi-Fi to the thermostat. The same thing is happening with our Nest doorbell.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with connecting your Nest Thermostat to your new Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • Are you getting any messages when you try to connect it to your Wifi?
  • Is it detecting your Wifi name?
  • How far is your Nest Thermostat to your router?
