Nest Thermostat will not connect to internet

I need help with my thermostat not connecting to internet.  I tried everything suggested and cannot get it to connect.

Has it connected to wifi before? If so try resetting the thermostat and heat link box and see if it remembers the wifi. If not you may need to pair the heat link to wifi again

I tried that as well and it will not connect.  Since it wouldn’t hold the temperature like it claims to 55 I had to run out and buy a new nest since my pipes would have broke.  Now I have a nest that is broken and should be under warranty.  
I was going to buy the Google home security items since we currently have ADT and they are too expensive.  Can you help with any of those items?
