Nest and temperature sensors

Temperature sensors are usless in the scheme of the thermostat.  You have to set a schedule based on predefined blocks or manually change to the sensor.  How is this "smart"? Every competitor either gives you complete control or at bare minimum averages the temperature across all sensors to keep the overall house temperature more comfortable.  Nest is quickly falling behind in smart home world.  Will these ever be fixed or does nest not care to update. nothing has changed with these since inception, might be time to move on.

Hey there,

Thank you for your feature request! We’re always looking for ways to improve, and appreciate your feedback. I found an article with more details on the Nest Temperature Sensor. This thread will be open for another 24 hours for any follow-up questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Jake

The "use your nest sensor" section from the link describes the uselessness that I've referred to.  Why should I be forced to fit a schedule into Google predefined blocks or change it manually.  I can change temperatures on the thermostat with more frequency.   Not to mention the ability to use only one at a time.  It's much wiser to get an overall picture of the entire home using the sensors and make a detemination to run heat/ac by average house temperature.  Nest prides itself on money saving yet not having this feature actually costs money to keep the one location being monitored at the temperature.  This is backwards and very behind times.  Time to catch up with the rest of the smart thermostat.
