Nest connects to heatlink and controls boiler, however it refuses to connect to the Nest app and refuses to give me a key to link my Nest app, so the app is offline.
I have Virgin media and no issues with other Internet connected devices.
Interestingly, when I connected the Nest to my hotspot mobile network, it gave me a key and I could connect to the app.
I don't understand. I also reset my router to clear any specific settings I may have added at some point, but still didn't work.
Anyone??

If you have the newish Google Nest Thermostat, it does not work with the Nest App.

Hey, @Patrick_Caezza . Could you give me some more details on how the thermostat does not work with the app? What seems to be going on? I would be happy to try and assist.

Unless something has changed that I am not privy to, the New Google Nest Thermostat is only compatible with the Google Home App and only the older Learning and E thermostats can be used with the Nest app.

That version of the thermostat is only available in US regions. It does not have a Heat Link and is not designed to be compatible with EU systems.

Thank you for the information @U187146 . If the thermostat managed to connect and give you a key over a hotspot but not your network it would indicate that there is something going on with your network settings preventing it from communicating. Have a look at our recommended Wi-Fi settings here and compare them to your router's settings.
