Have read a few posts, but answer not given. Forgot email for Nest account, need to remove thermostats from that acct before adding them to new Google Home acct, doesn’t work to only reset thermostat. So how to recover a lost email address for a nest acct. thx

I don't think Google Nest Support can do anything for a forgotten email address. They only have a process for changing or resetting your Nest Account password:

We don't have a Nest thermostat (just cameras and doorbells and Nest Hubs), but you may need to do a factory reset before reinstalling your thermostats under a new account in the Google Nest app or Google Home app, as appropriate:

If you want to talk to Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
