Nest furnace compatibility

Hello. I’m looking to get myself a nest thermostat for my home. I have a trane heat pump that is 13 years old. AC/electric heat furnace. I only have 3 wires coming our of my thermostat. 1 red 1 white and 1 black. I have a picture if needed. Would my system be comfortable with a 3th gen nest. Thanks.
