Nest gen 3 thermostat App issues

Hi All, 

I have installed a friends nest thermostat, I have got his iPhone linked to the stat with the nest and Google home app but his wife’s android phone I can only get it to connect via Google home and won’t work with the nest app. It asked for the code which was used to install the device on the iPhone and when checking settings on the stat it doesn’t have options for giving you the code gain ( different from the one on the back). 

when I installed my own 2nd gen stat I don’t remember having any issues and managed to get it set up on 2 devices no problem as I could originally send the family invite from the nest app but now you need to send it from the Google home app. 

any advice appreciated.

Once setup, you don't add it to other people's apps by using the setup process. To share devices, you need to invite their account/email address to the home:

Share a home and devices in the Google Home app - Google Nest Help

Note that even if the device only appears in the Nest app, you still need to use the Google Home app to manage home members. The email address you invite must be a personal Gmail account, or if the person you’re inviting to the home uses another email provider, they must create a Google account using that email address. Once they receive and accept the invite, your device(s) will show up in their Nest or Google Home apps, as appropriate.

Appreciate the reply, that’s what I done sent the invite via Google home and it appears on his wife’s Google home account no problem but not on the nest app? His phone is fine as that has it in the Google home account and nest account.

Is she signed into the Nest app with the account that was invited to the home?
