Nest heat link is dead

I'm getting H72 Error message on my thermostat.  The button on the heatlink does nothing when I press it. The boiler is still producing hot water

I see from other posts , the following questions are commonly asked, therefore I have answered below

Turn on Manual Mode to verify boiler activation by pressing its button once. Does anything happen?

- the button does nothing. 
 
Check that the breaker switches are set to on or the fuse board hasn't tripped.
- everything is fine. The boiler is on the same circuit and the hot water is working.

- First time
 
2. How long has your thermostat been installed?
- purchased May 2020 installed August 2020 due to lockdown in the UK
 
3. What colour is the Heat Link LED?
- No LED lighting up. 
 
4. What is showing on the Nest thermostat display?
- H72 Error message
 
5. Have you had any power cuts recently?
- No
 
6. Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
- No
 
7. How many zones are present in the setup?
- one
