Nest heat link open them defect?

Raimon

Hello all,

My Nest thermostat is just over 2 years old and displays a message that open therm is not found. Strange thing is my heating starts to heat when that message is displayed. Its not necessary to run the heating since its summer.

Narrowed it down to the Heat Link, it has power and is wireless and wired connected to the Nest thermostat. When I remove the power from the Heat Link the heating still continues to run, but its not necessary to run. When I remove the 2 wires from the open therm terminal the heating stops running. So somehow the Heat Link is sending a signal to my heater, even when the Heat Link is powered off.

What are my options regarding a new Heat Link?

Thanks for all the information @Raimon . I am sorry to hear you are facing difficulties with your device and I would be happy to try and assist you. Would you be able to take a picture of the message you are getting on the thermostat display?

Also has there been any work done on the heating system recently or power cuts in the area before this behavior occurred?

Hi @Raimon. Just checking in, did you manage to read my colleague's message?
