Nest iPhone app unable to add 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat

Here's the situation. I had an iPhone 8 and the Nest App along with the Nest Thermostat have been working well over the last 2 or so years. My iPhone 8 was reset and I lost all apps. I purchase an iPhone 12 Pro and attempted to add the Nest App which installed with no errors. I'm trying to add my Nest thermostat that's been installed on my Nest account and within my house for a couple years but every time I attempt to add the thermostat to the Nest app on my new phone it keeps asking me for an entry key. The instructions tell me to scan the QR code on the back side of the Thermostat and I do... then it asks for the entry key. This is where I have issues. Instructions tell me to go into the settings, Rotate the dial until I find Nest App screen where I'm supposed to find the entry key but all I see is the Thermostat is already connected and there iPhone app is sitting there waiting for me to type in the entry code that NEVER shows up. What do I do to fix this?

Problem is solved. I logged into my Nest account online and deleted the existing Nest Thermostat. This eliminated the Thermostat's indication that it already existed on the account and it was able to generate a new key to add the thermostat to the iPhone App.
