Just installed two Nests in our place. The downstairs unit is working fine. But when we installed the upstairs the wiring was completely different than the downstairs (there were two S1/S2 wires in the old Honeywell, that had no place to go) but we followed the Nest directions and it said it was compatible. When we tested it we only had hot air blowing. Any idea what the issue could be and how to correct it?

Hi @Valandy,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat isn't working as expected. I understand your previous Honeywell thermostat had S1/S2 wires, and it's unclear where they should connect on the new Nest Thermostat. I'm here to help.
I appreciate you taking the time to follow the Nest directions to check for compatibility. To help me troubleshoot this issue more effectively, could you please answer the following questions?
I look forward to your response so we can find a solution for you soon.
Regards,
Gabriela
