Nest is offline and I need help reactivating

Hello,

My Mom's house (she's not there) had no power for a week and was just reconnected.  The Nest is offline and we need it online so we can turn on the heat.  I confirmed with Xfinity that the router was reset and has a strong signal.

Anything I can do from the Nest App to fix this while not at the house?

Thank you

There's a fair chance that the Nest just needs a reboot to reconnect to the WiFi.  Or perhaps the battery died.  Unfortunately, a reset can only be done locally.  Without WiFi connecting to the Nest, you can't do anything with the app.

Can you log into the MyXfinity account for the house?  The xFi menu will show all the devices connected to the house WiFi.  If it's not showing anything or if the Nest does not show in the connected devices list, the modem needs to be reset.  You can reset it yourself from the troubleshooting menu.

@AndyCottrell, thanks for posting and sorry for the delayed response. Have you had the chance to try @johnCNA's suggestions? If yes, how it your mom's Nest thermostat now?
