Nest learning Thermostat won’t turn on.

I have an issue with my nest not turning on.

I have tried to reset it as it has a blinking green light which from the forums tells me that it’s a software update that’s frozen. I disconnected it, reconnected it, charged with the USB and still the screen is completely black. I still have a green light blinking so there is charge to it but the screen is completely black. There is no contact number to call so does anybody know what to do?

Hey Wayne,

Sorry to hear the issue is still present. If your thermostat is frozen, and you are unable to access the menu, I would recommend manually resetting the device. This should factory reset the device and clear up the frozen download you are running into. Please be aware, that some unsaved information may be deleted. You can follow the article here, and it will let you know how to reset that, depending on the type of thermostat you own. Please let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

Jake
