Nest learning stat won’t reconnect to WiFi

Have two Neat learning stats. For what ever reason I lost the app connection for both of them as well as the smoke fire detectors.

Was able to connect one stat with out any problems. This other one will not connect to the app. It shows my WiFi signal. I’ve reset it but no luck. It’s only 4 years old. I can’t imagine having to replace a $200.00 t-stat because it won’t set up to my phone app. Beginning to wonder if it’s worth the bother. It’s been keeping the temperature at whatever I set it to. It’s just nice to set it by phone when away. Maybe I’ll switch to a different brand.

All other products I have are connected to WiFi and work so it’s not the WiFi even though I’ve reset many times just hoping it magically connected back up.

 Thanks for any help given.

How do you have it wired? Is a C wire installed?

Yes (C) wire is installed. Like I stated in the post, it worked for about 4 years without any problems.

Understood, I'm sure someone else will step up to help you.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your responses, Patrick_Caezza.

Buttermere22, I want to dig deeper into this. Quick question — are you getting a specific code or message on your Nest app or thermostat display when attempting to reconnect it to your WiFi network? If yes, what is it? It would also be awesome if you could provide a rundown of the steps you've already tried aside from resetting it.

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

Melba
