I’m trying to set up my nest learning thermostat. I have a heat pump. All electric home. I have what looks to be 7 wires connected to my current thermostat. In the setup section on the app it tells me it’s not compatible but I might be putting bad info in. What do you think?

A heat pump uses auxiliary heat to supplement the the condenser in cold weather, it’s usually w1 and w2 is a second stage or in some cases used as emergency heat. I noticed you have a w2 connected but no w1 you can place your wire on w2 to the w1 and re-run the compatibility check

Thank you. Do you know what I should choose at this point?

Did you try the w1 connection yet
