Nest learning thermostat lost connection and m15 error

Harleeangel
Community Member

Nest learning thermostat lost connection and keeps giving m15 error immediately. Doesn’t see any networks. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps numerous times over the past month. Restart, reset network, reset thermostat, removed it from nest app, cant add it back. The dots spin and then nothing. Not having any other connection issues with all the other smart devices in my home. The nest smoke/co detector is connected with no issues.

Thanks!

The M15 error means something happened while adding the thermostat to your account. Here is a link to a Google Help Article with different steps you can use to correct this error.

Thank you for your response, however I have worked through all of the troubleshooting for the m15 error and the w5 error numerous times. The thermostat doesn’t see any wifi networks and app doesn’t find the thermostat.
I’m starting to think there is an issue with the thermostat itself.
I get m15 code and w5 code. So far none of the troubleshooting steps have solved anything.
As I’m sure you know, these types of things can really test your patience. Aaarrrgggg!

Patrick,

I have done the troubleshooting steps for both the m15 and w5 error numerous times. Well, I have attempted to do them. When I get to the steps of trying to connect to wifi or trying to connect the app to the thermostat, it can’t be done. Thermostat doesn’t see any wifi connections not does the app see the thermostat.  It had been working perfectly for the maybe 6-8 months we’ve had it, then it went all wonky (technical term) and decided it wasn’t going to cooperate anymore.
Technology is great, when it works. 🙂
