@Cindyk Have you double checked your ECO and Safety temperature settings? Make sure your Nest App does not have a cooling schedule defined.

How to I clear the eco & safety ? Should there be any temps in either of these ? I did manually put in an A/C schedule, is that what you meant by a defined schedule?
Thank you again

The easiest way is to use the Nest App that is linked to your thermostat, the choose settings and set the ECO Heat to 50 and the ECO cooling to OFF.
Also make sure your Auto Schedule to OFF.

Thank you. I followed everything you suggested and will post tomorrow if this has clear my issues

Unfortunately your suggestions did not solve the problem. It came on at 4am to cool the house to 60. I manually had to turn it up
I don’t understand why it is doing this
i will have to turn it off because I can’t rely on it to work correctly
very frustrated
is anyone else having the same issues?

Yes, I’m honestly ready to buy a different thermostat.
i have home/away turned off, eco turned off, learning turned off.
schedule is set to 10 am 76 10 pm 74. 7 days a week. EVERY NIGHT it get set to 72 around 10:30, 11:00 and sometime in the middle of the night because I wake up to the house being 72. I’ve even completely removed all schedules and set it at 74. Same thing, keeps going to 72. Turned all the learning/auto adjustments/eco on let them run for a couple of days and back off. No change.

I am in the same boat. It come on when it’s not in the schedule and go to a temperature not in the schedule. I followed everyone’s advice
I turned everything also and reset the thermostat again and put in a new schedule but it just won’t follow the schedule
So far Google is not standing behind their product and mine is not even 6 months old
Shameful & Not very good customer support

There is no need to delete a schedule when you change thermostat modes as each mode has its own schedule.
Check out this Help Article about Temperature schedules for the Nest Learning Thermostat

I don’t know how to tag you @Patrick_Caezza
this morning it did it again. I have A/C set to 85. To combat the issues of coming on when it wants I did a schedule of 85 at 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am and then 8pm. This morning sometime after 5am but before 6am the A/C turn itself on to 60 degrees. Why? I do not know what else to do
I turn the unit off cause I can’t trust it anymore. I could really use some help

to combat the issue of coming on when it wants I did a schedule of 85 degrees at 4am, 5a, 6am, 7 am and 8 am. So can someone tell me why it keeps turning itself on to a temperature that is not in the schedule? I don’t know what else to do?
I turned the unit off cause I can not trust it at all
i could really use some help. Very frustrating
Thank you
