Nest link no lights dead

Speedy66

Got a H71 Heat Link error on the nest, tired to reset the link as I have done previously but this time the link has no lights at all even are press and hold of the button so appears completely dead.

It’s fed from same 240V as boiler and that is powered so I believe link has failed completely.

No heat at all so need an urgent fix.

tried using google chat but tells me to try during service hours despite the hours saying it basically 24hrs in Europe/UK

Hi there all.

Thanks for letting me know of the situations. We'll perform a few basic steps so I can tell for sure what happened. Could you tell me please when did the situation start occurring first and when was the thermostat installed?

Also, please answer to the following questions:

Are there any lights on the Heat Link? Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing the Heat Link's button to activate Manual Mode?
Are you seeing any wiring report or error on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
If yes, how long was the power off for? (Be specific.)
Could you tell us please if you've checked on the breaker switch and fuse box?
Any blown fuse in there? Have you tried to turn the breaker switch off and on again? Any difference?

I had error T72 on thermostat from what transpired to be a 'dead' heatlink.  Having run through all the checks on the Nest website including attempt to reset, I took this up directly with Nest Tech Support via their chat service.  It did take a while to run through with them (1h+) but they have agreed to supply replacement on exchange.

I faced same issue yesterday with my heatlink and it seems dead .. not sure how to request a replacement (I’m sure this is still under warranty)

I contacted using chat service via there contact page

https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en-GB&authuser=2  I did that daytime, noting comment from speedy66.

Thanks but they are not responding via chat (out of hours message) and telephone also out of hours, even tried Twitter so I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow
