Nest, not giving heat when on heat, however does on emergency heat

Installed the Nest last night and A/C works fine.  This morning it got cold overnight so turn it to heat.  The blower turned on.  However no heat.  This morning I put the Next to Emergency Heat and it is now heating.

Any Ideas on what is going on here?

Neil

@nwolfman

Post a picture of the original thermostat wiring and another of how you wired the Nest thermostat.

It won't let me upload images,

I have now reinstalled my old thermostat and it is working of course.

I think the Nest thinks I have a head pump which I do not.

The biggest difference is that the blue wire isn't used with my old thermostat

If the blue wire wasn't in use on the original thermostat, then it is most likely not connected at the other end.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please share a photo of your control board where the wires originally connected?

I appreciate your help, @Patrick_Caezza.

Best,
