Hi,
My 3rd gen learning thermostat doesn't have a great battery charge anymore. Especially when it's cold right now, the battery is draining quickly. I do not have a C wire installed. I was looking at a Nest power adaptor but I have a unique situation in that this thermostat controls both our steam boiler and our AC unit. If I were to install the power adaptor, can I install it to just one or the other, and it will work at all times? I've heard it's a challenge to install to a boiler.
Thanks,
Seth

You only need to install one on the AC side.
