Nest red light

We have had our Nest E unit for a few years now and it has worked well.  A couple of days ago it showed that it couldn't connect to the wifi.  I attempted on multiple occasions to connect it to no avail.  Soon after the blinking red light came on.  Two different times it was charged overnight.  The first time when placing the nest back on the wall there was still no display.  The second time this morning the blinking red light came on for a brief time but it is no longer showing nor did the display turn on.  What are my next steps?

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

 

I'd like to check a couple of things for us to further isolate the issue. Are you getting any error message whenever you try to connect it to Wi-Fi? Do you have a C (common wire) wire connected?

 

Also, you could do a complete data reset on your thermostat and then try to do a setup again.
