You can't rename Nest Temperature Sensor unfortunately. A workaround would be to change the room name you've placed it in or create a custom label. Here's how:
- Open the Nest app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- Tap Settings icon on the app home screen.
- Select the product you want to rename from the list. You may need to scroll down to see it.
- Depending on your Nest product, tap Where or Placement.
A. If you select Where, this will show you a list of suggested locations. Each Nest product may have different room names and locations to choose from. Tap to choose a name, or scroll down to the end of the list and choose Custom. Selecting custom lets you type in any name you like.
B. If you select Label, you can type a custom label that will appear next to the location name in parentheses.
