Nest sensor not working after replacing battery

Both sensors were offline, replaced the batteries, and didn’t come back online, removed the sensor from the app, reinstalled it, now it says it’s online but shows temperature at 32 when it clearly is not 32 degrees in that bathroom. Can’t seem to connect to thermostat when I run the test, despite showing on both nest app and Google home app that is connected

Hello Smqzuleta,

It sounds like you've been through quite a troubleshooting journey with your Nest Temperature Sensor and Nest Thermostat. Let's try to tackle this step-by-step.

Firstly, with the sensors, you've already taken some good initial steps by replacing the batteries and re-installing them. If the temperature reading is inaccurate, you might want to ensure that the sensors are placed in an optimal location and away from any external heat sources that could be affecting the readings. Additionally, for the thermostat connectivity problem, here are a few suggestions:

  1. Restart it by going to its settings.
  2. Make sure that it's connected to the Wi-Fi network.
  3. You might consider a factory reset for both the sensors and thermostat. Be cautious, as this will erase all settings, and you'll need to set them up again.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
