We have two thermostats in our house due to two zones. Upstairs we have the nest thermostat e and we wanted to add a temperature sensor in my son's room. The sensor can only be set up through the nest app but the thermostat can only be set up through the home app so the se sorry can only recognize our downstairs original nest thermostat so it won't kick on the right zone when needed to regulate my son's room temp. Is there any way around this or can we just not use the sensors?

No. It makes you use the Google home app. I'm well aware of how to download and install things on the different apps. The issue is certain nest products force you to use the Google home app or the nest app. It's dumb

Hi JKas9,
Thanks for clarifying and I'm sorry for the confusion.
It appears that you have the Nest thermostat (mirror finished), which can only be added and controlled via the Google Home App. Temperature sensors are yet to be compatible with the type of Nest thermostat you have. To learn more about Nest temperature sensors, have a look at this article and let us know if you need more help.
Best regards,
