Nest showing blank screen

Hi all,

my nest  is showing a blank screen when plugged in with blinking green light. It occasionally blinks red or orange when I unplug and plug it back it. I’ve tried putting it on a usb to charge. It finally boots up when on the charger but then it immediately says to attach display on thermostat. I just get a black screen with a green light buzzing. Any help is greatly appreciated

You say a green light buzzing? Can you hear a buzzing from the display?

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your Nest thermostat that is blinking green light and having a black screen. Don't worry, I can help. I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution.

1. For how much time did you charge the display?
2. Do you see any power errors on the thermostat display?
3. Could you please remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent?
4. Check the thermostat wires are secured in their terminals and all the buttons are down.

In the meantime, take the Nest Learning Thermostat from the base and change it with a micro-USB cable for about one hour, put the thermostat back on the base, and then go to setting > technical info > power. Please send a picture of the power readouts.
