Trying to connect Nest Temp Sensor to Nest Gen 3. I scan the QR code. The Sensor gets added to my account (Shows up on the App, using Nest App. Not Google). Pull the battery strip, and place it very close to my phone and the main thermostat. Nest app. Shows “Looking for your Temp Sensor”. But it just can’t find it. On the app it appears, but with a temperature of 32 degrees. I have tried removing the sensor and reinstalling it. I actually purchased two sensors and they both have the same issue! I have thought about switching to the Google app, but I have a second home also attached to the Nest App, and I’m afraid of loosing that connection (That home is in an extremely cold environment, and it’s imperative that I can monitor that thermostat!). But I don’t think it’s due to me using the Nest app. Can anyone help me?

Which Gen of the sensor are you using?
Only the Gen 1 sensors are compatible with the Nest App. The Gen 2 one only works with the Google Home App.
