Hi all, this is the first time I've posted and I'm hoping that someone can help or offer some advice... I have looked over lots and lots of forums and just can't quite get to the answer!
In a nutshell - we moved into our new house in August, which has 1 Nest thermostat fitted in the lounge (downstairs) which we leave on 16 or 18 degrees most of the time (depending on the time of day) with a couple of short bursts up to 20 degrees when its colder, or for an hour when the kids are due back to warm the house through.
Upstairs, in my daughters room, it is a lot cooler than the lounge.. so that means when the lounge hits 16/18/20, the boiler shuts off and her room stays chilly.
The only way around it, it seems, is to crank the heating up higher, for longer but that makes everywhere else really hot, even if I turn the rads down in the lounge.
I thought that the Nest temperature sensors would be a good purchase, they do exactly what I need but just as I was about to purchase them I realised they're not uk compatible...!!!
So, the question here then, does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to get a higher temperature in my daughters room? A second Nest? Smart TRV? (and if so, any that work with Nest cause this seems to be a minefield too - as in, the smart TRV cannot work in conjunction with the Nest) or something else that I'm missing?
Sorry for the very long post, but I do hope someone can help!
