Nest thermostat - 2 zones working, one down

We have 3 nest thermostats, for 3 zones - Zone 1-kitchen, dining room, downstairs bathroom have had no heat for 2 days, rest of the house is fine. Is this a nest issue or one for the expensive HVAC guy? The temp has been 50 in those rooms, yet set on 67, for 2 days now. I thought maybe so cold out, but the other 2 zones are keeping up. No indication on the nest (ie message or something)that there is a problem. What to do?

Hello Eel,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to know more about this.

Could you provide more details about what happened? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, could you provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

We have the Mk2 thermostat.
We have reset the heat link by pressing the button for 10 seconds.
We have reset the link between the thermostat and the heatlink.
We have tried putting the Heatlink into manual.

The thermostat lights up and goes orange as if the heating should be on. The Heatlink clicks when the heating is set to come on but the boiler doesn't fire. up. The Heatlink has power and lights up.

Is there anything else I could try?

We installed a Nest thermostat system two years ago.
We have 3 zones. Two work, one doesn't as of this week.
The thermostat says the heating is on. The heatlink clicks. The boiler works for the other two zones for hot water AND heating.

But for upstairs, even though the Heatlink has light son, there is no hot water.

The heatlink and thermostat appear to communicate with one another but not the boiler.

Aside from the upstairs, the heating works everywhere else and the hot water is fine.

I've reset the heatlink. No change.
I've pressed the manual button on the heatlink. No change.

We have had various problems with Nest since we bought it. The learning function put the heating on in the middle of the night making the rooms really warm. In the end I turned that function off.

How can this be fixed, having no heating upstairs is a pain as we work from home.

Many thanks for your help.
