Nest thermostat DIY

I currently have a Honeywell Z wave thermostat in my 3 year old home. Can I easily swap it out with a Nest as a DIY?

Just make sure that the Honeywell thermostat has a "C" wire connected. If it does, the Nest install is an easy DIY job.
