Nest thermostat Power adapter

Michoayash

I have a two-wire, heat only system. I installed the Nest thermostat and it worked fine, except for the N260 error. Per Google recommendation, I acquired a Nest Power Connector, instead of installing a "Com" wire. I followed the instructions to install the Power Connector.  After completing the installation, the thermostat indicates "No Power". Per instructions, under settings, I tried to conduct a test of the Power Connector. I get the message "Unable to test. Please try again later." No other error codes. Contact with Google tech support was unhelpful.

Hi Michoayash,

Sorry to hear about your experience but thanks for reaching out.

After you installed the Nest Power Connector, have you updated the wiring information on the Google Home or Nest app? If not yet, please do that by following the steps below:

Google Home app

  1. Open the Home app and then tap your thermostat’s icon.
  2. In the top right, tap Settings  and then Thermostat and then Wiring and then Update wiring.
  3. Update any incorrect wiring information.

Nest app

  1. Open the Nest app and then tap Settings Nest settings icon.
  2. Tap Thermostat and then Wiring and then Update wiring.
  3. Update any incorrect wiring information.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Melba

I have the same issue with the N260 message but the thermostat seems to be working.

No where on the packaging or instructions does it say i need a power supply??

Do I need one and if so where do i get it?

Kind regards
