Nest thermostat WiFi

My nest thermostat would not stay connected to WiFi after a recent power outage. After trying all the steps to correct this, I removed the device from my Nest App and now it won’t reconnect the device to the app.

Hello autumnbree9303

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Nest Thermostat connectivity. The power outage appears to have drained the thermostat's battery. If you've already attempted troubleshooting steps and removed the device from the Nest App without success, here are a few additional suggestions you might consider:

  1. Complete the thermostat setup first without connecting to the Wi-Fi or Nest app.
  2. Proceed by checking its power readouts in the Technical Info settings.
    1. If the battery level drops to 3.7 volts, remove the thermostat display and charge it manually for an hour before placing it back at its base.
  3. Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and functioning properly. Double-check the network name (SSID) and password to make sure they are accurate before reconnecting.
  4. Attempt adding it in the Nest app.

Let us know if that helps.

Best regards,
Mark
