Nest thermostat Will not connect

Set up stops when it won’t connect to Bluetooth. I restarted my phone’a blue tooth and pulled out and reinstalled the batteries. 

I am also getting an N260 message

Hey Scottkinwa,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. You might see this help code for one of the reasons below:

  • The C wire isn’t providing enough power to your thermostat.
  • Your thermostat might need a C wire or the Nest Power Connector to provide it with dedicated power.
  • If you're installing the Nest Power Connector and you get an E297 help code, your thermostat needs an update. On the thermostat screen, select Setting > Software > Update.
  • If you’ve already installed the Nest Power Connector, you might need to update the wiring info in the app.

Home app

  1. Open the Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings > Thermostat > Wiring > Update wiring.
  4. Update any incorrect wiring information.
