Nest thermostat doesn’t engage heater in morning

For about the last week, I wake up to a freezing cold house. I look at my app and thermostat and it shows that it’s on, but no heat is coming from heater. I actually don’t hear any noise at all. I have found that if I turn the heater off from the app, then turn it back on, I can hear the heater turn on, but then it usually takes a couple tries before it fully engages to force heat. Sometimes turning the app to fan only for a few mins, then off, then back to heat works. I don’t have connectivity issues in the afternoon or evening. Does anyone have any suggestions? The heater repair man came out initially thinking it maybe a dirty Senor, he cleaned it, but I’m still having this issue. My heater is a Rheem gas split from 2021

Hey folks,

Oh no! I'm sorry for the trouble. What type of Nest thermostat do you have? When was your thermostat installed? Do you have more than one thermostat? If yes: do other thermostats have heating points that can explain the activation? Has there been any recent work done on your thermostat(s) or heating system? Also, what country are you located in?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Archie
